As our Spring 12 collection gets closer to release the nights seem to get longer and longer. Couldn’t stay awake past 10pm while in law school but I clearly have no problem staying up ’till 3 or 4am working on new projects. Tonight’s post comes with another leak of projects in production now. Hopefully y’all are as anxious to get this collection out as we are. If not …then …well …keep it movin. It’s been so long since I’ve added a new post that I almost forgot how to operate the blog site. Much apologies. I can assure you that,although the posts have been lagging,our dedication to putting out quality garments each season has not. This is a nice teaser of our next release. As we wind down winter and get ready for spring,these two zip-up hoodies are a perfect way to rep the State. I know in some places,like here in Texas,the weather is warming up pretty quickly. But as a native to the midwest,I know that at any time you might need a good hoodie. All together,the full spring collection will consist of five new pieces. Stay tuned. As we near the eleventh hour of twenty-eleven,this season’s “Iconic Item”finally emerges as promised. Some of you probably recall our previous post about the Iconic Item Series and I can definitely say this product holds up to the weight I intended our Iconic Items to hold each season. This jacket takes me back to my days on the diamond. I spent a ridiculous amount of my life playin’ball. It was all I ate,slept,and drank,for almost as long as I can remember. Although my days of playing our American pastime are over,the nostalgia carried in this jacket is a friendly reminder of the lessons I learned during my baseball career —work hard (really hard),stay focused,set goals,conquer those goals,and then…right when you think your done,start back at working hard. Most importantly LOVE THE GAME. My choice to take on the DreamState brand full-time is no different. This jacket marks a point in my own creative process where I go back to the drawing board. I can be confident that I followed the lessons I learned from my favorite game and now it’s time to start over,get better,and continue to learn how to make this brand a perfect reflection of my creative mind. So…as a friend so keenly said it….
